Granite Mountain
The Granite Mountain is made from generation 2 sil-poly.The 2nd generation of our Silicone double coated 1.1 oz polyester ripstop (silpoly). Unlike most ripstop fabrics that use the same yarn throughout, our 2nd Gen silpoly uses a thicker yarn for the ripstop grid coupled with a thin/light base fabric. The result is a highly durable, abrasion resistant fabric with very little stretch/sag when wet. The shelter weighs 13.5 ounces with stuff sack and guy lines. Dimensions are approximately 9'-4" long 8' wide at the beak end tapering down to around 6' at the foot end. Perfect for two people or a palace for one .All seams are sewn with gutterman upholstery thread. Corners and guy outs are reinforced and guyouts are bar-tacked. linelocks for better tensioning. We have also added a second pole boot twords the feet and an extra guy out to help better tension out the shelter. You will need 9 stakes for set-up (stakes not included). PLEASE NOTE- THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES SEAM SEALING (WE RECOMMEND GEAR AID SEAM GRIP + SIL SEAM SEALER, WHICH IS AVAILABLE AT MOST BIG BOX SPORTING GOODS STORE AND ON AMAZON). FOR TARP STAKES WE RECOMMEND EITHER THE EASTON NANO 6' OR THE MSR GROUND HOGS. History- The granite mountain started out by making a simple 6x9 shelter, after using the 6x9 during hunting season and wanting more protection me and my hunting buddy's thought up the idea of putting some sort of beak on the front or adding a vestibule of sorts. With that revision the shelter was named the granite mountain. Since that time we have spent years getting this shelter to where it is today, after several prototypes and years of testing we finally have it. This shelter is different than anyhing on the market in that the shape and design are unique.
RETURN POLICY
If you are not satisfied with a product purchased directly from Jimmy Tarps at the time you receive it, you may return it, unused, for a refund of your purchase price, within 14 days. The only exception to our return policy is items which are specially made, those items which are customized or have any changes made from the original design are non returnable.
If one of our products fails due to a manufacturer's defect within 3 months of the purchase date, original purchaser may return it to us for repair at our discretion. This warranty protects the original owner against manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. Damage due to wear and tear, accident, improper use, negligence, or the natural breakdown of materials over extended time and use is not covered. Common damage such as from rips and tears in the materials (but not limited to) is not covered under the warranty and is considered normal wear and tear. If we determine that the damage is not covered under our warranty, we will contact you prior to performing any repair work. If seams have been sealed using seam sealer, then the product is not returnable.
